daily carry IWB // 6' 4" , 250 lbs

Hello friends and neighbors // I am 6'4" , 250 lbs. //

I can get away with 6" S&W 586 , 357 IWB. I wear size 40 waist but buy size 42.. ///

I am looking at three smaller revolvers (3" or less) and will switch to one of these later this month.

For now this is what I am used to:

S&W 586 : 357/38, 6" / With very thin hogue grips. I like blued for SD/HD because nickle or stainless reflects more light and can make you a target.

Revolver IWB (left side with butt toward belly for cross draw ) , speed loader in left hand cargo pocket protected with a handkerchief // Case with little lady, sometimes in right hand cargo pocket but mostly stays in glove box. (does not hold tampons).// All three contain Corbon 357 125gr JHP .(total 25; 6 in revolver/6 in speed loader/ 13 in case w/ little lady)

Cell phone in red belt pouch and flashlight with whistle in black belt pouch, left side, adds bulk above and behind revolver imprint.

Swiss army knife, left front pocket. Extra bootlaces as lanyard for S.A.K. hang out of pocket.// Draws attention away from pistol print and gives easy access to knife. Most people only know I carry S.A.K. and think of it as multi tool not weapon.

Gerber folding knife, right hip pocket under wallet.

In S.C. cargo shorts and wind breaker can be worn from April til November. This configuration allows use of right side front, cargo and left hip pocket for misc. daily needs. (camera,gum....) Also allows me to hug others as they aviod cell phone, flashlight area . Daily Carry.jpg

///// I think I need a flashlight with push button on/off switch instead of twist action.//// Also need slim digital camera w/ video.

Springfield XD 9mm Sub-compact...loaded with 16+1 Corbon DPX. Its a great gun and top choice for conceal carry

Springfield XD9mm 5" barrel 18+1 mag. I like the longer barrel, more "leverage" against my body, works for me.

Depends on the occasion, the seasons (whether I have a coat), and whim, I suppose.

Sig p225
Sig p229
Sig p220 Carry (more in the fall and winter)
S&W Model 65
Colt 1991A1 / Springfield 1911

Thinking about getting a CZ Rami next year for CCW in the summer months. Otherwise, I might try using one of my Makarovs.

I carry a Samsung Rugby ( Cell PHONE) because I'm in Hawaii and the cheif of police don't issue CCP's. Problem with that though is the criminals here has and do carry GUNS ( AK 47s etc...) not very often but they do. But hey 911 isn't that hard to dial it's the responce time of the police and the ambulance I worry about and most of all how much blood me and my family will lose & perhaps DIE in that time.

In warm weather I carry my 9mm S&W 3914 using an IWB holster.

When it's cold enough to wear a coat then I carry my .40 Sig 229 in a Comp-Tac paddle holster.

uberti cattleman with 5 1/2" barrel chambered in 45 long colt. this is the design that I am must familiar with and the most confident. with a 265 gr. keith bullet out of a lbt mold at 850 fps I feel this will take care of any social problems, and most anything I will bump into in my neck of the woods.

Depends on what I'm wearing. If I'm wearing dress clothes without a jacket, then I pocket carry a Bersa Thunder .380 in a Desantis Nemesis holster. All other times, I'm carrying a Kimber Pro TLE II in a Comp-Tac C-TAC IWB holster.

KelTec PF9 95% of the time in an IWB Holster under anything even a Tshirt.
Taurus Model 85 .38 snubbie in a IWB Khoster 4% of the time.
Sig SAuer P220 carry at night in an IWB Hoslter under a surgeon's scrub when I have to run to the hospital in the middle of the night.

Middy, I am curious, is this information being with held for a particular reason? My 13 year old uses that term a lot, so I know it to mean "None of your business"....

Is there some reason why we should not share this information? I carry a KT P3AT or S&W 410S.

Para-Ordinance P14 .45 is my daily carry sidearm.

Ruger SP101 .357 is my back-up.

Sometimes, just for shiittts and giggles, I carry my Ruger Alaskan .454

My wifes' purse gun is a Ruger SP101 and she keeps a Rossi .38 snubnose in the glovebox of her car as a back-up.

Always have an XD 9 full size or sc in a Supertuck when out and about, use a fobus paddle holster for around the house, fenix L1T flashlight, Gerber folding knife and a cell phone.

Oh, and usually some cigars and a lighter! :D

I mix it up quite a bit. W/ dress slacks, I typically have my G27 in a Nemesis pocket holster. That is my primary CCW. W/ jeans, I carry a full sized auto under an untucked button down shirt; either a 1911 in an open top OWB pancake, or a CZ85 in a generic Bianchi IWB. On the weekends wearing shorts or warmups walking for exercize, I wear a Murse w/ either an XDm .40 or the afformentioned CZ.

When wearing casual slacks or dockers, (basically anything that I have to wear at work with smaller pockets than dress slacks), I carry a Scandium J-Frame smith with CT grips.

Oh, and usually some cigars and a lighter!

When wearing the murse (fanny pack), +1 to the cigars & lighter. I also pack a TLR-2 when carrying the XDm.

As for knives, I never leave the house regardless of what I am wearing w/out clipping on my Kershaw Leek.

OK, the Murse is GREAT. It also holds the I-pod & the phone.
