What is the average size of your CCW? + How do you prefer to carry?

Les Baer TRS in Milt Sparks SS or Center of Mass Kydex paddle. Also G 30 in Comp tac. paddle. Depends on my attire.

PM9 in Galco pocket holster, unless I'm wearing an untucked shirt in which case it's in my Galco Walkabout IWB holster, and I certainly don't feel undergunned with +P 9mm hollow points and a short barrel.

I'm big on 5 shot revolvers.
I started with a Charter Arms Bulldog in 44 spl, 3" barrel with the aluminum frame.
I don't think they make 'em in aluminum any more.
Then I added the Smith series 60 when it came available in 357.
When I visit my bud out of state, he always has a 6 shot Smith 44 spl snub for me, I sorry I don't recall the model.
My bro has been talking me into a Ruger SP101 with a Laser sight.
I like thin autos better than short ones. You may laugh at this, but a Tokarev 7.62x25 has served me well for many years....all because I didn't want to mark up my Gold Cup. I never served in Vietnam, but I understand GI's liked to liberate and carry the Tokarev. It just works for me, always seems to hit what I aim at, you know, the mythical 'instinctive point' thing.
So I'm not talking expensive or the latest style. These fit my 2 criteria, 1) a BIG BOOM, 2) Small, yet big enough to carry that a fore mentioned BIG BOOM.

Whatever your choice of hardware and holster, my advice is invest in a quality belt to hold it all up. My personal favorite is a CZ75B in .40 S&W with 16 rounds in the pistol and another mag of 16 more, all hanging off a Beltman horsehide 1.5" stiff as can be belt. All day carry is no problem at all. Don't go cheap on the belt.

Sig P226 OWB @ 4:00 for now until I get a really good IWB for it. When it's hot and I just want to wear a T shirt-Kahr K9 IWB, same position.

CZ PCR (replaced a 2nd-gen S&W compact) at 2:30. Failing that, a 2-1/2" barreled Taurus M85 in the front pocket.

Not tiny guns, and I'm not a big guy. So whenever I'm at the gun shop and some 210-pound man pushes away a Glock 26 and says "I need something I can wear," I truly enjoy pointing and laughing at them. :D

Usually a Ruger LCR in a Desantis Nemesis, otherwise it's Glock 26, in a cheap Mike's IWB or Desantis Nemesis pocket (depending on the pants).

Depends on the occasion...

KelTec P32 IWB for jogging
S&W J-frame IWB or pocket holster for work
Glock 26 IWB or shoulder holster for urban outings
Glock 20 IWB or OWB for the great outdoors

I rarely (now) carry a SIG P232 strong side leather, just don't trust the .380 past 10 yards. Size: 6.6"L, 4.7"H, 1.3"W 1.2lbs capacity 7+1 .380. What I leave the house with 99.9% of the time is a CZ 75D PCR, again strongside leather holster or sometimes IWB small of back. Size: 7.0"L, 5.0"H, 1.4"W, 1.7lbs, capacity 14+1 9mm. PCR reliable and accurate and really SEXY pistol that fits my hand perfectly. The SIG is mainly a safe queen now, it is a really nice pistol, but the .380 lacks firepower and capacity IMHO.

I carry for the most part either my P6 or P229R sometimes in a belt holster or sometimes mexican style. Occasionaly I will carry my Bersa Thunder 380 in an uncle mikes sidekick Ambi. belt holster.

For CC, I carry 2" j-frames 99% of the time.

usually a lightweight, in the right front pocket. The Mika pocket holster is minimal--and works well. The whole package also transfers to a vest / inside jacket pocket when I am driving.

I've assessed my needs to be typically very low--i.e., I am not out much, and usually in only 'low-crime' areas in our metro area. For any number of other reasons, I am not terribly worried about a lethal threat beyond ten, perhaps fifteen yards. Likewise, I think I will be able to handle an immediate threat with five shots. God willing, a two-shot reload from a strip--but if it's more than that, I'm probably done in anyway.

When I was sorting out my initial purchase for carry, I listened to the advice of two friends (one an unrepentant gunny, the other a cop) who both said that getting a lighter handgun would ensure more frequent carry--and I find that to be true. I carry the M&P340 (13.3 oz) much more frequently than the 640 (23 oz).

My semiauto alternative for carry is typically a P3AT--again, in either a left rear pocket (weak-hand draw) or in the inside vest / jacket pocket. Again--the lightweight / small pistol. Were I to move up, it would possibly be to a Kel Tec PF9.

I also have a minimalist underarm holster (vertical, yank-out draw) for the j-frames (M&P 340, 360, 640) and a pancake belt for a 3" j-frame. I will probably get holsters for the 2.5" Night Guard 386--both a belt and the underarm yank-out. The underarm yank out is from K.L. Null, FWIW. Here is the link--it's the 'SMZ' model.

Were I to carry a larger semiauto, it would probably be a Commander-sized 1911, or the EAA 'smaller' large frame commander size, both in .45ACP or 10mm. These would be carried SOB or the underarm yank out.

Now I carry a Ruger LCP in .380 in a Desantis Nemesis holster in my front pants pocket (it's in there now) and it's so small I can't even measure it. :D

But boy it's nice to not lug around a heavy gun and I ALWAYS carry now.:)

Not always before.

J-frame goes anywhere comfortably in SmartCarry or pocket holster.

Else HK P7 in a SmartCarry or IWB (AKJ Concealco), latter more likely in Winter or areas where I feel more "vigilant".

I carry a 9mm Glock 19. I use FOBUS brand orthopedic holster. Sometimes I also use a corset type universal holster. The advantage of this type Corset-type holster is the ability to conceal the gun better then any other options. The disadvantage; this corset holster make sweat a lot on the hot summer days..

PT-111 strong side OWB @ 4 o'clock...

12 + one in the pipe, manual safety on

Don Hume holster without retention strap

on rare occasions I carry a spare mag. on the off hand side in a Don Hume mag holster

P3AT .380 always, well I work in DC so not as always as I'd like. Usually SOB clip onto my belt, or inside front pocket. In the winter I may go USP Full.40 OWB in a Disantes (sp) as long as I can keep a long shirt or jacket over it.

I CCW with a Smartcarry with a 4" .45ACP. Never been spotted or had a problem.
