Is it dead ?
would you buy a pistol in this cal. ?
And if so,which one,a Glock ?

I plan on buying one at some point after I start reloading. I really like .40 cal, and from what I understand you can use the same size dies for .40 and 10mm. I've heard they kick like bajeezus though. And yeah, when I get one it will be a glock.

no.

yes, why not?

Glock? No. Probably EAA Witness /Tanfoglio. Or a Delta Elite.

The 10mm certainly isn't dead at my house. I have several EAA Witnesses in 10mm, two Colt Delta Elites, a S&W 1006 and a S&W 610 revolver. And when I get some spare change, I'll order an Olympic Arms 10mm upper for one of my AR-15's.

A Glock? No! Was forced to carry one and didn't like it.

Hope this helps.

Fred

I'll get into 10mm once I start reloading as well. I've read/heard too many good things about it to think it's dead.

I'll probably get a Glock 20, which is at the upper limits of size for my hands.

I have bought one. And I love it. And the kick is WAY over-hyped. Regular loads are about the same as a .45 and hot loads are nothing to be concerned over in the least.

get a glock 20 and for another 100 bucks get a 40-10 conversion barrel. 2 guns for the price of one plus a little! I also have a 29 but I don't care for the grip.

A Fusion 10mm long-slide kit is on the list. A Glock would be cheaper but I already dropped the Glock for preference of a 1911 trigger a long time ago. I plan on carrying it as a woods and hunting backup gun, so I want the range and velocity from the longer barrel.

I thought the question was which cartridge in 10MM CALIBER

10mm AUto, .40 S&W or perhaps a .400 Corbon

I have a Bar Sto bbl. in .400 CorBon for my 1911. but
I plan on getting a S&W 610 some day.

Far from dead. To me its a "specialist" round like the 41 mag. Very useful round but you need to handload to get the most out of it. I'm not talking rhino rollers but mid level rounds as well.

i don't have no autos in 10mm but i have two 610s i like the the 610 because u can shoot the 40 to if i was to get a auto one i would get a Colt Delta Elite or smith and wesson 1006 or 1076 or the glock 20

The basic problem with the 10mm is the ammunition. Like the .41 mag its expensive and somwtimes hard to find. It's become mostly a handloader cartridge and if you hand load you can reduce the cost.

I have .41 mags and really like the cartridge so I have no desire for a 10mm or for that matter a .40 s&w. I'm quite happy with my 9mm's and .45 acp's for semi auto handgun use. However if I was without handguns that already bracket the power of the 10mm it would certainly be a consideration.

You will LOVE that Fusion. I have the 'Traditional Hunter' in 10mm long
slide. It's the most accurate gun I own and most well made--a real work of
art. Fusion is a VERY customer-friendly company too.

I have a custom Delta Elite that has become my main carry. I love the gun and the caliber, and no it's not dead and have not had a problem in finding ammo. It's the gray one IMG_0677.gif

here's a group picture of the first batch of 10mm conversions of the Sig 220 stainless framed pistols from the GrayGuns shop:

here's a close-up picture of one of the first:

they'll also convert the 220 to .40 Corbon and 9x23mm

Not dead, not dying, not even close to going under.

G20 and Double Tap 165gn 10mm Golden Saber ammo.

Deltas are back, ... but in stainless.

"Hey, Sonny. Some fool said the 10mm's dead ... Is that true?"

"Oh, hell no. There's more 10mm guns available now than back in the day ..."

The new GLOCKS are coming out in January following SHOT SHOW.

WIth the new improvments I want one to carry when I fly in Alaska.

What would be perfect is to have a carbine in 10mm which uses the same mags as the pistol.

The 10mm is fun to shoot, does not kick as to be uncontrolable (FBI, here kitty kitty ) and can take most anything in the field. What's not to love?

Far from dead at my house. 10mm is mine and my wifes favorite caliber. Recoil is similar to a 45 ACP IMHO.

I absolutely LOVE 10mm for its versatility and power... It may not be as "mainstream" as other calibers but so what?

My EDC is a G29... with a talon grip and Ameriglo ProGlo front sight, plain Operator rear. My next purchase will be a G20 for winter carry and the nightstand. Then? Maybe a Delta Elite that I'll have tweaked and coated with IonBond... :)
