Hey guys my senior class is looking at getting our coach a nice knife as a parting gift. He is a hunter so I am looking for a hunting knife something nice and classic preferably a horn handle of some sort. We also want to get it engraved so I need some room for that later. We are looking at roughly at a spending price of $200 tops. Do you guys have any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

The classification at the knife sites is "Presentation Knife."

There are many of that category, and the sites can be found here by searching THR.

You can order "custom" engraved Bucks from the Buck website, and I think it will cost you well under $200.00, although for fixed blades your only option is going to be the Alpha Hunter. Nice knife, but I don't know what style your looking for.

To see what it would cost, I just made one with a bone handle and engraving that also included a burgundy leather sheath that came to a grand total of 131.00. You obviously get a nice, American made knife for that, plus it falls under Bucks 4-Ever warranty, which is nice.

Here is a link to the site, friend: Linky

I suggest this route:

Go to eBay. Type in: knife boker magnum fixed blade
- There are a number of models which are extremely well made but
sell for less than $50.

For a classic pocket knife. Type in: knife Colt sowbelly.
- The stag handled model is an exceptional gift item that will last a
lifetime.
