Ballistic gelatin test results : .380ACP

I've been getting A LOT of emails asking about .380ACP ammo performance in ballistic gelatin. For your convenience, here is a summary of all of the .380ACP shots that I have done in ballistic gelatin since 2004 (PDF format).

@Shibby - No ... the Hornady bullet was the regular XTP ... most of those shots were done before the Critical Defense was introduced.

@Kony - What data are you referring to, for that conclusion?

@Huntsman - Buffalo Bore is on the table, as are all other makes/brands of .380ACP. Like everything else though, it's about balancing the time and the money. .

@FMJ - Nope. . Looking at the small guns that are being made now in .380ACP (like the P3AT), it is hard to imagine that such a small gun can do such relatively large damage.
