Gun signs at TGI Fridays

Hey js, you gonna make it to Houston for the convention?

Does TGIF post a 30.06 sign down there, because up here they fly a no guns allowed sign.

jsal, was that the TGIF on the nort side by the airport on I-410? Had a salad there in April before hitting the nearby entertainment center.

The TGIF in our area has a replica flintlock hanging on the wall(above most people's arm reach) and .... it isn't even equiped with a trigger lock !

Especially Stage 3, IIRC.

You don't think they might be attempting to overcompensate a little bit for that recent bit of anti-gun publicity they received, do you?

TGI Friday, at least the one here in Tacoma, is in the practice of hiring very attractive young women. I applaud them for that. Their cheeseburgers are also quite good. Nice place.

TGI Fridays Corporate

I was at the Carlson Restaurants Worldwide headquarters in Carrollton Texas today and they have 30.06 signs prominently displayed along with the picture with the handgun crossed out at the building entrance.

There's no OC in Texas (yet) but I've never seen a 30.06 sign at a TGI Fridays Restaurant. That may be up to the franchise owner or whoever runs the joint.

However, Cracker Barrel generally has a double barrel over the mantle.

Ours has that, and a framed Colt flyer from the 1920's advertising the 1903 pocket, 1908 vest pocket, and the 1911. Very cool.

They don't need a sign around here. They serve alcohol, and per SC law I can't carry into any place that serves alcohol even if I'm just there for dinner.
