Do You Trust YOUR Electronic or Battery Powered Digital Powder Scale~?

No. Too many variables that could affect my loads. I use two beam scales as my primary. About the only thing I use from the Lyman is the check weight.

Will have to try adding a little ballast and see what happens.

So y'all know, adding ballast to my Rangemaster made the zero shift worse instead of better. I still like and trust the scale.

Pete: "I got talked into ..beam scales were better then a digital...I found that my digital was faster, gave the same answer as the 1010 and was just as reliable. Works well, just no better then the digital...my 1010 sits on the shelf as a reminder to me to think through other folks advice... "

Absolutely true that a good digital is as accurate as any beam. So long as it works.

Off: "Jim Carmichael ... was using a RCBS 1500 Chargemaster...I asked why he was using the battery thing ...mostly because it is a steady and constant power source. He said that electric plugins can be uneven and cause weight variations and that outside influences such as florescent lights and even the plug cord can also cause erratic readings. ... he won the HV championship so his CM must have been working perfectly."

Yep, Jim knows his stuff. But think about the measures he (and now you) go to to make that already expensive device work ... as well as a beam!

They aren't for me, not so long as gravity continues to work as dependably as it does.
