Hit this Poll. Gun Stores responsible for Gun Crime??

Then auto dealers should be held responsible when someone with 15 DUI's on their record buys one of their cars and proceeds to kill a family.

I wouldn't worry about this poll. You have to consider the source. I believe that you can get a poll to lean any direction that you want. Besides, it is a proven fact that 98% of all people question in 75% of the polls said that they hate statistics.

Are grocery stores responsible for obesity?
Some people think McDonalds is. Probably the same folks that voted yes on that idiotic poll. Place the blame on anything but the criminal himself, wouldn't want to hurt his self-esteem. :banghead:

Wow. All those people that voted 'yes', I wonder how they justify the existence of liquor stores. Way more destructive than a gun store if you ask me.

I voted in that poll early yesterday and the results were heavily against holding gun stores responsible. Guess it's changed since then. You can vote more than once if you like.

We are holding a very slim lead.

This poll is about as unscientific as you can get, but it still holds sway over public opinion, IMO.

If I remember correctly, wasn't that the subject of a civil suit a few years back?

Car manufacturers have been sued for supplying vehicles that exceeded the capabilities of their operators. Same for motorcycle manufacturers. Look hard enough and you will find a civil suit filed for every conceivable issue.

Just as if you look long enough, you probably will find a small fraction of dealers that may put profits before the legal issues of the sale of a firearm. Absolutes in this world do not exist on the conduct of people. Falling into the trap of judging anyone by the actions of a small segment is foolish on any level.

microsoft is responsible for porn, trolls, cheats and hate speech too:rolleyes:

No, that would be Al Gore. Apple, Microsoft, Google and others create products which serve as ammo for the internet "weapon". :)

On a serious note, I can't believe the voting is so close. You've got to expect a few people will be loopy enough to vote yes but almost 50/50 is scary.

Hey now, it's taken a lot for the Post employees to keep repeating their "yes" votes all night just to keep it where it is....

Somewhere one guy has a bot set up to keep voting yes... or else those who were ignorant enough to actually vote that way don't have the gumption to post a comment, lol!
