What a good time! Just got home a little while back from my first time shooting my FNP9. Got it off the forum a few months ago and got caught up in moving from Maryland to Florida and just didnt have time to go. My younger sisters boyfriend flew down from Maryland for his birthday and she wanted to take him to the range.
I didnt get to have as much hands on time as I wanted but got enough to get the overall feel. I put about 100 rounds through it myself and 200 rounds total between 4 of us. Not one malfunction at all. Had some pretty decent grouping from what I could tell. Whats a decent sized group for a 9mm at 40ft? I forgot a marker so I couldnt mark who's shots were who's. I have a few pictures I will get off my camera here in a little.
Had a "oh crap" moment a few lanes down though that gave me quite a Some not so savvy guys were using rented guns and from what I saw their revolver blew the barrel right off the gun and down the range. Everyone ceased fire and the range supervisor went down and picked it up. He ran of pretty quick with it so I didnt get a good look.
Anyways, all in all it was a good trip. I got to put some rounds downrange with my AR as well. Any Central Florida residents on here? Can anyone suggest a good range? I went to East Orange Shooting Range in Winter Park. Was a very nice range but some of the staff were a bit on the unfriendly side.
