Did a few minor changes to my 870P thought I'd be nice to share. You guys like A or B better?
Before:

Came with the Speedfeed stock set.

After:

Installed original 870P wood refinished in gunstock brown+poly-acrylic, +3 factory blued mag. extension. Now this what is you call a 'CLASSIC' fighting shotgun.

I like A, but with the mag tube extension. You did a great job on the wood however, and it looks great either way.

I like A. Better handling without all the weight up front, more durable stock.

Of course my 870p is Kryloned OD green and is standing in the barn with a corn-cob stuffed in the barrel to keep dirt daubers from building nests in it so YMMV. :)

As an objets d′art, B, as a tool A.

Thanks guys. I was aiming for that 70/80s lapd look. I think the wood compliments the polished blue very nicely.

If you added the +3 round mag extension, am I correct in assuming you have a 20" barrel? The +2 mag extension is for the 18" barrel, right?

I am so sick of tacticool!!

B gets a big thumbs up from me. Black plastic may make some people happy, but I think guns outside of a war zone should wear wood when possible.

Does it say "Wingmaster" on one side & chambered for 2.75 shells? Mine was produced in 1982, has the same 20" bbl and wood stock, with polished blue. Rifle sights standard. I had the bolt jeweled, and is it ever smooth.
