RIA M1911 Tactical: Any Good?

My has been flawless so far. Shoots as good or better than my friends high priced Colt.

I like mine in .45ACP a lot. The Tactical is a lot of gun for the $$$. You get all the upgrades most people want for about $50-$70 more than the GI model.

The problem I have is that my Cattle Dog wants to use it for guard duty all the time...

Very happy with my RIA tactical in 45 acp. One of the best values out there imo.

Thanks for the posts guys. I've been looking at getting one and now when the cash comes I will be. Oh and a poster post for the cool pic.

Other than some cosmetic changes I haven't done anything to it except shoot it, a lot. Accuracy is very good and it shoots any kind of bullet out of any magazine. I have other 1911s that cost twice what this one did that are no better.

In I shoot yours, you shoot mine, exchanges at our club several folks have remarked "is that one of them high dollar 1911s?" after shooting a mag through my RIA Tactical.

My brother-in-law A-B-C compared my RIA tactical with my Colt Commander and Kimber TLE and preferred the RIA, but he ended up linking my SIG P226 9mm best, so that is what he bought. Wimp :)

They are very good guns for the money, my oldest is at about 15,000 rounds.

But to be fair the TLE has rather aggressive checkering on the front strap which is probably hot helpful to a new shooter and the Commander has more muzzle flip because of the shorter barrel and slide.
