I've decided that I like to shoot skeet enough that I want to buy a nice O/U. My problem is that before I drop $2,000-$5,000, I would like to actually feel the gun first. But, nowhere around southern Wisconsin seems to have more than one or two in stock. Does anyone know of a gun store around southern WI that carries a lot of shotguns? I tried Gander Mountain (never to buy, only to look), but they only had about 7, 2 of which I would consider. Thanks for any help...

Star hanging out at the local skeet and trap clubs...many will let you handle their guns, some will even let you shoot a round with them. You can also wait and attend the Grand next year, you will be able to handle just about every O/U imaginable there.

Have you considered a used Browning or Beretta? You could look on local gun boards. Private sale, you could of course look over and handle a gun before buying.

You may be able to get more gun going that way than buying new. You could check Armslist.

Hope that helps!

Check out CDNN's selection and have your purchase sent to your local FFL.

I bought a Lanber OU from them a few years back and it was a great experience (great gun too).

Cabela's--Scheel's---Bass Pro---Gander Mountain----if any of those are in your area.

Not saying they have the best prices--but probably have what you're looking for.
