Whats not correct about the grips?
To repeat, "38 S&W Special CTG" isn't the model number. It just tells you what type of ammunition to use with the gun. Smith & Wesson has made a LOT of guns chambered in .38 Special. Without more info, it's impossible to tell what you have. If it's a blued finish, it could be a Model 10. If it's stainless, it could be a Model 64. There are lots of other possibilities. Pictures would help.We also have a 38 S&W Special CTG. The numbers below the grips appear to be 3532xx, does anyone know anything about this gun?
