    I have a 38 S&W special ctg blued, ser. num. 304223, fixed front site Can anyone tell me the age and aprox value?

    S&w age and $

    I have a 38 S&W special CTG, ser. num., 304223 I would like to know how old it is About when it was manufactured and about how much it could be worth for insureance purpose would never give it up. Its personal?

    Not much info and pictures would be better. But in .38 Special and with that number, it should be the Military & Police .38 Hand Ejector, Model 1905, Fourth change, made about 1919. Any assessment of value will need pictures. Unless the gun is in near perfect condtion or is in some way unusual, the value will probably not be high ($200 or so).
