I always think Raven Concealment Phantom is a good idea. With one holster and different attachments you can carry Inside the Waistband (IWB), or Outside the Waistband (OWB). You can also adjust the ride height and cant just by moving the attachments.

It is mostly geared toward the "tactical experts", but I find the versatility of the holster makes it a good choice for those new to carrying so you can try as many options as possible with just the investment in one holster. Even if you end up not liking it, at least you will have a better idea of what you will like.

I have carried a sigma 40 for years. Finally settled on a de santis speed scabbard. If you want a thumb break try a galco cop 3 slide. These are for owb. Both are good quality holsters and just under $100.00

Tagua Holster For Sigma

After trying at least 4 other holsters over the last 8 years, I settled on a little, 22-dollar, leather Tagua holster, worn inside-the-pants, or as a belt holster (with shirttail out or a jacket covering it). This holster fits my Kel-tec PF-9 and my Sigma.

Carrying a gun this size took some gettting used to, but I feel comfortable with it for most occasions. In May of 2004, I bought my Sigma 9VE for $269.95. I like carrying my Sigma for most occasions. Having been shot at during a robbery, I prefer the advantage of 18 rounds, plus an additional 17-round mag on my belt or in my pocket. A friend of mine came home from Afghanistan recently, and he carries a Sigma too.
