phantom,

Your first two links were already truncated when you posted them - they don't work.

If what you're looking at is a single point sling, I'd recommend against it. Two point slings work better for shotguns IMHO.

I used the GG&G Adapter for Single point on my Short Hogue for about 5 years now. I wish the adapter was a little thicker but it helps! 12" slaps me in the cheek a little with out a raid vest on. Another 1/2" and it would be perfect for it's indoor purpose. The ambi Rocky Mountain adapter LOOKS good but I KNOW the GG&G is bombproof!

Edited to add, the Single Point works great in Home Defense or Home invasion for Leos on an 870 as the gun is pretty much in use and the single point keeps the sling away from the pump handle end which is a good thing in use! However on a field gun you are out in the field carrying around, getting knocked in the sweet breads by the slung 870 when moving rapidly is NOT the hot set up. Then you woould be better off with a 2 point simple sling .

I had a 1" wide two point strap on my shotgun for many years. Awesome way to carry the gun on a hike or thru the woods. It dangled free of the slide when I was shooting. Never a problem.

Last winter I bought a Surefire forelight and instantly found a problem. The forward swivel is in front of the light. When I used the light, the very center of it was blocked entirely by the strap.

I added a single point mount (much like Gordon's) and found a strap for that. I like that I can just drop my gun and have it swing down to my side. I like that the strap is behind the action and will not become tangled.

I dont like the way it swings when I'm on a hike. It also hangs a little lower than I'd like, but I'm still trying to adjust the strap just right.

With a single point sling my shotgun hangs muzzle down, I worry about something getting into the muzzle when I trudge thru the mud.

When I go for a hike I put on the two point. Most of the time it wears the single point.

Not really helpin you pick a sling (links didnt work) but offering my experience with the two and one point slings.

I use the excellent Wilson two-shot extension, with the sling mount on the left side and behind the Surefire light. Problem solved. http://shopwilsoncombat.com/Extension-Tube-Right-Hand-2-Shot-12-Gauge/productinfo/SGET-RH-2/ http://www.wilsoncombat.com/shotguns/standard/large/06.jpg
