While I understand that there's an ass for every seat - I think having that kinda money to spend I'd have to figure 12 $1,000 guns or 6 $2,000 guns... somethin' like that.

They are supposed to be great rifles and I would buy the thing if it wasn't $2k and not $12k. Unfortunately there were only a few imported and they went for $1k in the mid '80s.

That particular rifle seems to be a bit on the high side in my estimation. There have been two NIB examples available in the last year for around $10k.

Unfortunately the FAMAS like the Sig PE57 is one of those things that is just too expensive for me to justify.

lmao. Best comment I've seen on this board in a long time - maybe ever.

I think FAMAS' are great, but I sure couldn't ever justify (not to mention afford) spending $12,000 on a single firearm.

Funny thing about the PE57. When they were imported the retail was in the three thousand dollar range and you had to roll your own ammo.
Why it made the ban list is a mystery.
