A pre-64 M94 from the 1950's is as good as it gets. For $100 is just the cherry on top.

Of course, and after I refinished my Model sixty I hunted down the dude I gave fifty bucks to at a gun show so I could give him sixty more.
Ignore that crap, any gun is worth what one is willing to pay, when one is willing to accept payment.

Or.....the ol boy KNEW or at least had an idea of what it was worth but would rather see it get used by someone who would appreciate it but didn't want to GIVE it away. Lots of ways to look at it.

Its just a great deal. When I get old, I may do similar to make sure my rifles end up with people who appreciate them, not necessarily my son either. If he looks like the type of fella who will not enjoy them, I may start selling them off for pennies on the dollar to someone who will. But that's 40 years down the road, so. What I mean is, don't just assume that the OP robbed some old fella.

Some years back I began selling off the "second rank" guns I'd had come to me in various gunshow trades over the years. It was sorta neat to be able to bottom-dollar the prices to teenagers or into some family which didn't look like they had all that much money to spend.

It's a good feeling to see folks smile when they tote the new toy toward home.

You guys who think that a mutually agreed upon sale is some sort of violation of someone's rights are the reason we have so many ridiculous regulations and this damn half-socialist economy.

Freedom of association and property rights are what it's all about. Unless you stuck a gun to the guy's head, I say congrats on a great purchase. Isn't freedom wonderful?

I agree with Art.At the gun show this past wknd. I gave a bunch of old Magazine pouches,old oiler bottles,cleaning kits and things of such to the youngsters coming thru just because I knew they wanted them but could not afford them.What am I gonna do with all that stuff?I was young once at least I think so.
