I've been wanting an AR for quite a while now. I finally got the money end worked out (read, my wife doesn't have anything else she wants to spend this years tax refund on lol), so I bought it today. Now I have to see about getting a good deal on some food for this baby.

Anyways, just excited about my new gun, and thought I'd share with you guys :)

One good thing is my fingers get tired loading those 30rd mags. If I had somebody to load them for me I would be broke........ Wait I am broke. Or worse than broke in debt. I have done good though. Since I bought mine I have never just emptyed a mag all at once.

M&p15 OR? I bought the same one last year and love it. Bought mine as a package with a eotec holo sight on it for $1200. Congratulations!

Nice looking S&W, congrats.

You can download a free copy of the military 23&P manual. This well have every AR spec known to mankind.

I still get excited about new to me guns, best feeling in the world.

Yep M&P 15 OR. I paid $899 + tax for it. The optic on it is a cheapo $20 red dot wanna be. I plan on getting a better one when I can afford it. Just wanted something on it so I can shoot it now :)

Nothing wrong with the El cheapo sight. I think you'll really enjoy the s&w. It was my first (and only) AR and think I'd like to pick up the m&p sport just to have an extra and so my buddies can shoot with me since you can find them pretty darn cheap. I was looking at the hunting AR's recently and think I'd like to pick up a big bore upper eventually. Something like a bushmaster 450. I think it'd make a great woods gun for deer hunting with a solid bullet that doesn't expand a whole lot I think it'd punch a nice .45 diameter hole without as much meat damage as say a .27 or .30 Cal ballistic tip would. Probably have an advantage in the woods too being bigger and heavier than a typical deer load being that i don't think it would deflect off a twig as much. Enough of my rant now lol. Congratulations and have fun!
