Davidson's GuaranteeD 2nd hand...?

What is protocol? Well, the Davidsons warranty repeatedly says it is only for the original purchaser. Second, it is clearly stated that the firearm is to be returned to the retailer where the firearm was purchased.

If the consumer is a good customer of the retail store, rules might get bent if the store thinks it's appropriate.

Thats all been well established days ago.

My questions was:

Since he didnt do anything but ask a simple question with full disclosure, please explain what "protocol" wasnt followed?

Food for thought....would you ask Ford, Chrysler, or GM to repair the used vehicle you purchased at "big dons auto lot" with 150,000 miles on it because they sold it to the original purchaser with a 50,000 mile warranty?

Just go to a gunsmith, have it repaired, pay for the repair, and then enjoy. JMHO

Call ruger and see if they will fix it. Sometimes they don't even care. I have had guns that the warantee was never filed and got them fixed simply by calling up and asking. They checked the serial number and sent out a RMA. It's up to them.
