It's something I've always wanted but have never managed to find. Finally came across one but it's a cheap looking/feeling chinese manf gun.

Anybody have any ideas where to get hold of one of these?

Baikal (Russia) makes them.

They're imported by EAA as the... I think it's called the MP220F now, but it used to be called the IZH-something.

If you can't find them as an EAA product, they might be under the USSG brand.

probably something I'll shoot to make sure it works and put it up somewhere. Just for collections sake it's soemthing I've always wanted.

Most of the hammer guns (that's the proper terminology BTW) made today are of VERY low quality. You're better off looking for a vintage LC Smith or other good hammer gun that buying a junk import.

The Baikal isn't really a 'quality double barrel' because the definition of what 'quality' means in this category of weapon is a bit different.

I will say that the Baikals are built like a tank, but also weigh about as much as a tank so they're not quick or smooth to point or swing if you're shooting clays or such.

The triggers and action are also invariably stiff out of the box, and need some smoothing out.
