Watching Moonshiners on TV and the shot through that bush was nice the problem becomes I thought it was a 30-30 but my brother thinks it was a 30-06 can anyone shine some light on my brother for me?

Ps look at the lever action and how that bullet goes through the bush

the rifle is a 30-30.

remember, that show is for entertainment purposes. almost all of it is scripted and behind the camera lens are lights, a director, and a whole lot of other stuff going on.

i have a family friend who is a producer, for reality tv shows.

If it's a rifle cartridge and isn't a boomer (I.E. .45-70, or the old school black powder rounds) it's .30-30.

If it were .30-06, it'd have a box magazine, because of the pointed bullets.

It looked like a marlin 336 to me so either a 30/30 or 35rem no way it was an 06! mite have beenan 1895 in 45/70 or 444 also

Old, old marlin with most of the blueing warn off the steel work. 30-30, 32 win sp or 35 rem cartidge would be choice for older rifles. . Tell your brother if he finds a marlin lever in 30-06 he better buy it cause its a one off. hehe.

wouldnt meat from a big old bore taste pretty nasty? I know from experience with domestic hogs that meat form a big old breeding bore has a pretty rank flavor! about all you can do with it is make sausage wit a LOT of seasoning. But maybe wild hogs are different we dont have any wild ones in my neck of the woods.

What a phony baloney show.

Yeah he got that boar on the run. Sure.

Lemme guess, just hanging around and filming an illegal activity for profit.....hmm...that's not a crime.
