All kidding aside, I bought a new pistol today: a USP Compact .45 with a matte stainless slide. I looked closely at the P2000 but did not like the LEM trigger at all. Also, I preferred to stick with .45.

An initial 50-round test put a real smile on my face. Accuracy was excellent and the single-action trigger was much better than I expected. (This is a variant 1 gun.) Functioning with hardball was flawless, so I'll try hollow points next. I did prefer the magazine with the extended floorplate but will use the mag with the flush floorplate for carry. Oh yeah, I also ordered a Milt Sparks Watch Six from Lightning Arms.

I'll post a pic once the holster arrives.

Congrats, nice gun. I recently sold that exact model, pristine with stainless slide and extra mag here. Though it is a fine handgun, I'm not crazy about the recoil "feel" with the USP. The high axis mass of the slide makes it feel like I'm shooting a slingshot.

Congrats!

Spend a lot of time practicing with your carry mags, if your pinky interacts with the floorplate, this can have a subtle effect on your grip, and subsequently your shooting.

Here is a pic of the pistol with the Watch Six holster. I am very pleased with the holster. It is incredibly thin and, as one would expect from Tony and his crew, very well made.

LOL! I do own a pair of 5.11 pants (and shorts), but haven't succumbed to carbon fiber, EBR, "tactical" knife, etc...!
