Found a little gun shop today in the next town over that I had totally forgotten about. They don't sell many guns I don't think, just accessories and gun smithing and repair. Low and behold what did I see......Powder, primers and bullets by the gross! What a beautiful sight! I bought several pounds of powder and a few hundred bullets. Hopefully the locals won't catch on. Made my day!:D

Good find. I generally have to order my supplies on the Internet, as none of the local stores keep a dependable supply of anything in particular. Right now I think we reloaders are under Obama's radar.

Reload reload, I'm off to the bench again (to the tune of Hi Ho, Hi Ho) :D. For the past week or so I've been rollin bullets at my single stage setup, taking a lot of my components stash and putting up rounds.
Stock up on supplies for the bench, so much easier then running around from store to store looking for a common caliber. Just did some .303 Brit, .38 Spcl with round nose and hollow point, same thing with .45 ACP. A batch of 300 gr XTP .44 Mag, and now messing with .30 Carbine. Then I,ll get busy with .223 Ball and .308 Ball. Even got my daughter (23) to help and learn.

Shuvlrider, off topic but what u ride? Personally '73 wide glide, '78 flh, '88 Softail, '07 roadking, '48 model s "hummer" & '56 st "hummer". Garage hard to navigate lot like the vaults.

A 68 FLH that my dad owned for 22 years before he died, I've been runnin it since 2001. Last year before deployment I lucked into a good steal on an 05 Ultra Classic.
Now I will mention reloading so we won't be off topic--:D

and now messing with .30 Carbine
Last night I ordered carbide dies, shell holder plate, 500 primered brass, and 1000 bullets for 30 Carbine at very reasonable, pre-CT prices. I've been thinking about reloading 30-carbine for years, and finally decided to bite the bullet (bad pun intended). I was shocked to find the bullets, last night, and I went back to their website today to find out they no longer have any (they did last night, as I talked to the guy at the shop who confirmed it before I placed the order).

You did good finding a deal like that, especially primered brass (Graf & Sons ?). If you shop around, be ready to jump on a deal and buy as much as you can afford. Initially I had some new carbine brass a few years ago, then I walked the shooting line at the range onetime. Found close to 200 empty cases someone fired recently, score for me. I have an Inland carbine and also a Savage lever gun in .30 carbine.
Recently before the Sandy incident, I scored 700 primered .308 cases from G&S at a good price. Now it seems all that common stuff is out of stock, but my FAL will be happy.

All the reloading supplies in this shop were normal pre hysteria prices, but their AR mags were $100.:what:

Blew through $1000 plus yesterday. Bullets, cases, powder and dies and quick load for my 550B in .223. Paid too much, but , what are you going to do? Run out of ammo? I don't think so. This will set up 2500 rds. Should be enough for a while.
