Riding around today, I came across a pawn shop in a small town. There weren't 15 guns in this shop, but low and behold, on a gun rack was a Cimarron 1874 Sharps rifle chambered in 45-120 with a Baldwin sight (about 4" tall/long). Ask the owner about it's price and he said he would take $1600 for it and the 48 loaded rounds he has for it. I really like the way the gun looks, but am unsure about the price. Searched GunBroker, but only found one and can't judge a price by that. I should have taken a pic, that thing looks brand new, no scuffs, scratches, or dings. Any help would be appreciated.

Depends on which of two makes and several models.
Cimarron imports both Armi Sport and Pedersoli, of which I hear Pedersoli is to be preferred. The least expensive is $1524 and they go up to over $2400 retail.

That Baldwin tang sight is $415 for a midrange, $485 for a long range.
If the front sight is a Baldwin, add another $155.
I use them on my Winchester and Browning. First rate sights.

The .45x 3 1/4"/.45-120 can be a challenge to load for and darned expensive to buy.

If it's a Pedersoli built gun the price may be on the high side depending on the model, but with that sight already mounted and a head start on some brass it's not terrible.
If it's an Armi sport gun it's about 2 times over priced.
