My first autoloader - a Sig TacOps 1911R Threaded BBl. Sweet! I can't wait to run some rounds downrange!

Decided when all the 2A stuff started up that it was time to get one. Of course they are a little hard to find, but I stopped in at the LGS today and they had 2 sitting right there on the shelf. :D

yeah, I know. Then I'd have to learn how to get photos from my phone to here. :)

Shoots well though, Went out in blowing snow and cold on Sunday and put 5 full magazines through it, no feed issues, no problems. Off of a rest it was a couple inches left at 25 yds, offhand tended to be a bit right. Doesn't mean a lot, as I'm not proficient at handgunning.

The only thing better is a Sig TacOps carry with a Silencerco Osprey attached. Only had a chance to put a few rounds through but I enjoyed every minute. Good choice for a 1911.

Is that the railed model? Did you get the tac pack? Night sites?

Great choice! I have the plain Jane government model Sig nitron with rail and night sights. Love the gun, and I've fallen hard for 1911s in general.

I have the railed TacPac. An email reply from Sig verified that it is essentially a TacOps without the ambi safety, mag well, night sights or threaded barrel - otherwise same Nitron finished stainless frame/slide and internals with match grade barrel/trigger.

The railed TacPac comes with compact laser, two mags, combination holster with detachable mag pouch and mag loading tool.

Both TacOps and TacPac are excellent shooters.

Congrats!

I like my railed 1911 I got as a tacpac a while back, incredible bargain for under $700. The laser, holster, loader, and mags are all kind of worthless to me, though. The laser is the same ncstar kind of laser you get for $30, the mags are unreliable, and I don't like push button holsters....but the pistol itself is very nice. It does have a "match chamber" though, so it is a bit more picky about my reloaded ammo than my 1991A1. But its more accurate as well.
