For about the last 10 years, I have been wanting to purchase a Sig Trailside 6" Plinker model. In my area, I have only seen one other for sale, but it was a 4" model. That was 7-8 years ago.

I went into my LGS yesterday, and in the case was a like new 6" Trailside, with the box and every single accessory still there, along with all paperwork. Price was $550. I didn't hesitate after inspecting it. Bought it about 5 minutes after seeing it :D These have become exceedingly hard to find, and the price keeps going up on them.

The trigger on this particular example is really good. Very little take up and a crisp break. The test target supplied in the box was really good too. It is 5 shots at 25 meters. It is pictured below.

I will be taking it out this weekend to shoot it for the first time. I have 100 rounds of Winchester Match 40gr for it. I can't wait to see what it can do.

I edited out the serial number on the gun pics and the test target. That's why they look a little weird.

Very nice find! I have a 4" Trailside and it probably has the lightest, smoothest trigger on any factory gun I have ever shot. Go to Larry's Guns for accessories and service for your Trailside. I went with one of the heavier metal barrel weight because I just didn't care for the plastic one that came with the gun.

I bought a 6" Target model when they first came out. 1,000's
and 1,000's of rounds through it. Very, very accurate.
I compete with this pistol and have done very well over the years.
This past season the safety broke. It will go to Larry's before next season. I am also considering having him put a reddot on it.
Have fun!!! Great choice.

Congratulations ! You will have lots of fun with that.

...always a good day when you happen upon a firearm on your wish-list and have the finances to buy it.

No kidding! I was thrilled. 6 months or so ago, I had it happen too. I had been wanting a Swiss K31 for many years, and found one locally for a great price. I really don't have an affinity for Swiss made guns, it just happened that way haha:D

I bought one about 2 years ago for about $350. I didn't know I got such a good deal. I upgraded the trigger spring, after it broke, I would suggest you do the same. It is a superb shooter. I think you will enjoy yours.
