Having fun with an Armslist scammer

That is great.

I don't see it as a waste of time, I think it's comical.

Plus, by asking him questions, it really opens up how these guys operate their lies.

There is a group in the UK whose hobby is torturing scammers. Some of the revenge they wreak is funny beyond belief.

Miss no opportunity to humiliate a scammer.
419eater.com - the scambait stories on that site provide for some good laughs indeed.

Good going BJG.

These scammers really need to be taught a lesson. Too many of them lurking around trying to prey on the innocent (and stupid); they need a taste of their own medicine. They're usually very easy to spot as soon as you get their initial response with some sob story and poor grammar.

DeadMoneyDrew beat me to it, but yeah 419eater.com is a real hoot to read.

Scammers torque me off, too. had a lady at work that almost got caught in the "Ooops, my assistant made out the check for too much, just wire back (West Onion) the overage.

Had the 2 people show up at my door the other day offering to perform a "Free Energy Audit" of my home. Told them to go down the street 3 houses on the left, and ask the Deputy Sheriff Captain if he wanted his home audited. they were gone before I could even pick up the phone to call local PD.

this is where he stole the text and pictures from

a lot of times if you simply Google the ad title, you will find it in different places (on For Sale lists) and the original website where the text and pictures were stolen from

they have done the same with travel trailers, I found one that was posted on dozens of Craigslist sites around the country. I wouldn't buy anything from Craigslist that had the potential of being a scam

good job. I wish I had the patience to be creative with them like that. about the best I can hope for is to irritate them.

Best one I ever heard of is the guy that got a one up on a scammer in europe with a fake powerbook. that one was epic.

Half the time these scammers aren't even in the country so its almost impossible to catch them. When the English is that bad I figure its some dude in Ghana or Nigeria using translation software or something.
