Are you an active member of the NRA?

Yep. Gifted 2 memberships this year and started donating to the NRA-ILA. I don't like the solicitations and what not, but they are the largest lobbying body on our behalf. That's worth a few bucks a year, in my opinion.

I am NRA. Been so for 30 or so years. I lost track. I am a yearly contributor so I pay the larger fees and do so gladly.

Let me correct you, if it wern't for the NRA we would have lost our 2A Rights long ago!

I am a member. Quit for a few years but there the best voice out there like it or not so i rejoined.

They need a fresh new face for leadership, Wayne is just plain creepy to me.

Current membership in the NRA, NRA-ILA, Second Amendment Foundation, and the Arizona Citizen's Defense League. They all receive more $$ from me than is required for a basic membership.

What's an "active member"? I've been a life member since the 1970's, but my NRA "activity" consists of receiving the monthly magazine, and occasionally voting in the directors' elections. Does that qualify? (BTW, I've never forgiven the NRA for throwing MG collectors, such as myself, under the bus in 1986. FOPA should have been pulled after Hughes attached his poison pill amendment.)

Before January I had only been a shotgun and rifle owner and had not paid much attention to 2nd amendment issues in the news. Due in part to all this media and political crap, I am now a handgun owner and an NRA member.

I am. Like others, I don't like everything they do, but there's no doubt they do more for preserving our rights than any other group. They have enough lobbyists on the payroll to have one in the office of every politician in DC at the same time. I read that on the interweb, so it must be true.
