Since we're talking semi autos here, at first I was gonna say these...
But I re-read the entire thread again and have to agree with content (post 27) and go with these fugly old, but oh so cool, old fashioned things... (even tho content's 1911 C96 is cooler with the stock/case etc...)
But I could be wrong. Everyone's opinion of what is "cool" is different I guess.
I think some 1911's are the coolest guns in the Autoloader category. I can show folks some of my shiny stag gripped 1911's but they gravitate to this Combat Commander as rating high in Cool Factor.
Most folks think it is cool because it has that been-there-done-that-look. One guy recently said, "That gun looks like it knows what it is doing."
Oh yes, that's nice! I had a chance to get one of those at a LGS within the last year and procrastinated as I didn't know exactly what variation of HP it was.
Once I did a few google searches and eventually found out the history on these I wanted it.
Too late...somebody beat me to it. It was like yours with same box and two magazines.
