I just started hand-loading in January and I recently bought a Shooting Chrony Gamma Master. This morning I made my first attempt at shooting some strings to see how my current load measures. The current load seems to be fairly accurate out to at least 1000 yds so I was curious what the chronograph would show.
Based on what I have read, I assume these numbers are pretty good? I am shooting a Savage LRP 260 Rem and my current load is: Lapua 260 Rem brass, CCI BR-2 primer, 43.0gr Hodgdon H-4350, Sierra Matchking 142, COL 2.830".
For the last 10 shots:
Standard Deviation = 5.74
High/Low Delta = 16.88 FPS
Avg FPS = 2858 FPS
I assume it will be challenging to improve on this performance?
