The worst possible thing that can happen to a reloader is to misplace their load notes...

Well I have...

I am needing reloading data for the 7.62x54r with a gas check 203 gr. cast bullet. My usual sources, Lyman, etc. books, do not have data for that bullet weight.

I am shooting a MN 91/30.

Thanks...

Heh, I lost my data book like twenty years ago. dang it! So I feel for you.
I only used IMR4895 and Red-Dot and really only use Red-Dot these days.. right around 13 grains for a 190 grain GC'd (generally) Lyman spitzer for 30-06.

I'll look up my specifics but I had pretty good results with trail boss. There was a significant POI change, but you can compensate by raising the rear sight up. I never found any that gave fantastic accuracy. Only fair. But they worked great for 25 yard plinking.

I left my Lee book with lots of extra pages of notes inside at a fellow reloader's house a while ago and it took a few weeks for him to get hold of me to tell me it was there. I think that he was copying all my data before he told me he had it.:D I feel your pain. I have only tried Laser Cast lead bullet made for the 30-30 without a GC so far in my Mosin and the results were poor due to poor fit I assume. If the bullet molds ever reappear again in any amount I may try a .313-.314 sized bullet and see what that does. BTW how did your bullets shoot in yours? My Lyman # 42 says to use same cast bullets/weights and loads that are used for the 30-36 in their book.

I'm just trying to find a powder that I can use that is in stock. I want Varget, but we all know that situation
