Just passing the word that Midway has some .22 LR in stock. It's all overpriced... as all .22 is right now, but if you need a brick you have the chance to get it now.
Hope this helps someone.

I couldn't believe I just ordered guardian gold JHP .380 +P from them about an hour ago. IT WAS IN STOCK

That's why I placed the order BEFORE I posted the message.
My brick of Super Colibris arrived today. ;)

Smart move goon. Thanks for ordering me some.... I'll remember you for my Christmas card list. Lol

Wow! Super Colibris, the ultimate mouse fart .22's.
Shot some that my brother got last week.
They are so quiet, I know my Daisy Red Rider makes more noise.
My daisy will slightly dent a tin can, the Colibris pass through only one side.
Very odd stuff.

I was out at my pond yesterday, taking care of some turtles, and had to come back to reload. I had to open a new box. I looked at it this morning, and this is what I found:

I believe that the Standard Colibri would be considered the 'ultimate mouse fart .22' .
Standard Colibri (3fpe) has about half the power of Super Colibri (6fpe).
I prefer Standard in handguns and Super in rifles.

Note: I make .25acp 'colibri-type' cartridges by loading a primed empty case with a .25 air rifle pellet. Loads of fun in guns like Beretta tip-ups.
.

Will probably be sold out before you can place the order. But thanks for the heads up.
I've set the notification alert for just about every kind of .22LR ammo listed on the MidwayUSA website. Since the beggining of the year, every once in a while a notice would pop up but it was always gone before I could order any. In the last two week, however, I've gotten more notifications from them than the last six months and more than once I was actually able to buy some before it was gone. They are still stuck with their one per customer limits, but I was able to piggyback the .22 ammo with centerfire ammo I needed, too, so the shipping was spread out over several different boxes of ammo and didn't kill the price.

Certainly not "back to normal" yet, but I the situation does seem to be improving. <fingers crossed>

Still some in stock. They even have the Remington bulk pack stuff now at $21 per 500.
That's actually not too high...

Picked up a Remington bucket of bullets and then traded it for 9 CCI 100 count mini mags. Not bad by 0830 if I say so. Remington 22lr just does not function in my Buckmark but CCI does. Academy also had CCI standard velocity this morning in 100 count boxes @$7.59 each. I picked up my two boxes of 62grain green tip @$9.99 a box this morning. Lots of 223/556 at my local Academy. Hopefully they will lift the purchase limits on it like they did 308. Anyway a standard Wednesday delivery which means lots of ammo. Friday though means little if any ammo delivered. If things are truly turning around supply wise Fridays may start getting better. Lets hope so.

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but I would be VERY interested in hearing more about this. I have a Bereatta .25 with a tip up barrel...
