Explanation behind this: I ordered a non-factory set of grips from an eBay seller ( spdcustomgrips) and they aren't right. The messed up thing is that this seller has the largest selection by far of non-factory custom grips on there and I assume they are doing them all incorrectly. The ones they are making (unless it's just my set) have completely flat backs, like 1911 grips. The P938 though has raised parts of the frame where the grip screws go in; so without cutouts to conform to this raised area then the grips are actually only flat against that small raised area and have a small open gap all around the rest of the frame where it isn't raised.

Mine came with the rubber hogue grips, which do have the cutout for the raised area, and I'd assume that factory wooden grips would have this cutout as well. So, if anyone has a set of factory wood grips I would appreciate it if you could take a pic of the backs for me, both to simply confirm this cutout should be there as well as to bring it to the sellers attention (and hopefully get a refund on the set I bought)

Well, one more try I suppose.

I am finding this extremely frustrating. I have posted this not only here but on several other gun forums as well, including even Sig Forum. Several hundreds of views total among them.

As it would seem nonsensical to assume that not one person who owns a P938 would have seen this (Especially on SigForum), I have to ask.. when did the community of firearms enthusiasts get so unwilling to spend a even a moment to help out another ?

That's sort of sad when you think about it.

I hope that your issue was resolved. I just popped in here to do a quick P938 search.

On Sig Forum, if you posted the eBay sellers i.d. for thousands to see, you would be questioned as to whether you had done your best to contact the seller with your issue. You make no mention of that here at all.

So how did you handle the eBay issue? A forum thread would not be the logical first step.;)
