Finally got my new AR assembled. This was first rifle assembled from the ground up. It is a 6.8. I can't wait to get to the range.

It is an Anderson lower w/ ACT trigger and SOPMOD Bravo stock. The upper is a BCM demo with a 16" ARP SOCOM barrel, ARP Superbolt, and 10.5" Midwest Industries Keymod rail.

It is a good feeling to shoot something that you assembled yourself. I'm still trying to get my new AR build dialed in. My barrel doesn't seem to like 52 grain pills though, so I will have to shoot these up and start looking for some 68-69 grain projectiles. I actually built mine with almost every part from a different manufacturer. I just thought it would be a neat experiment.

I know you learned much from the build and will enjoy it. Let us know how she shoots.

horsemen61 Looks nice why 6.8 can I ask

The reason I went 6.8 is I already have two 5.56/.223 ARs and wanted something different in this build.

Also, I would like to start hunting (deer and hopefully hogs) with an AR, and 6.8 seemed like the way to go. I was torn between the 6.8 and .300 BO, but since I wont be getting a can anytime soon I thought this was the way to go. From what I have read the 6.8 is capable of taking medium sized game out to (and maybe beyond) 300 yards.

The main reason though, was I wanted to do a complete AR build, and I wanted something different.:D

I have no issues with the Anderson lower. This is the third one I have assembled and have had no issues with them at all.
