I bought an American Arms Escort .380 for two hundred bucks a couple of years back and have found it to be a decent shooter and light-weight, well balanced, and well-made except for the rubber grips. They only have one screw which is located close to one edge of the grip, not providing the best stability for the grip. Because of this and poor quality in the rubber, the grips tend to crack and deteriorate over time. I read somewhere a couple of years ago that this was a common problem with this gun and sure enough, mine was starting to show cracking around the screw. I taped the grips with electrician's tape to try to slow the problem, but would like to replace them with something more durable. Does anyone know of a source for parts for these guns? I haven't found a lot of info on them except that only 1000 were made and everyone who has one seems to like it...thanks!
