Hi, I am interested in knowing where everyone goes for their C&R purchases. It seems like one site will have one firearm that another site doesn't and the prices all vary +/- $20 or so. What are your sources? Thanks.

Most of the time, I go to the LGS that specialize in military weaponry. As C&R's are either historically significant and/or over 50 years, you have look for them.

I used to haunt the usual suspects - AIM, J&G, and so on - but the market has really dried up over the last few years. I've had my best luck on internet action sites, auctionarms.com and gunbroker.com.

There are a few big sellers (robertson trading post is one) who have lots of interesting stuff. They are currently on the tail end of selling off a batch of well-used Israeli pistols, everything from Hi-Powers to Stars to CZ75s:

SOG ,Southern Ohio Guns, is another possibility. I've bought more C&R's from them than anyone else since 2006. About 20 hassle free purchases.

Good people there.

Most of mine are through Southern Ohio Gun or Samco Global. Samco usually has a limited selection though. J&G sales, AIM surplus, Wideners, Century Arms...Not fond of Century Arms myself, but I have bought one through them. I've never used Impact Guns or Classic Arms, but I've scanned them from time to time.

If you're looking for something that none of the sites have, check the C&R section of auction sites. Usually come across a lot of different things on those.

Empire and Simpsons are for discerning collectors looking that one special piece. Also try Wideners, Samco Global, AIM Surplus, Allans Armory, Southern Ohio Gun.
