Hey folks. Picked up a new Colt New Agent Lightweight today. Kind of always wanted a 3" 1911. I'll be breaking it in the weekend after Memorial Day weekend and will report back.

Great fit and finish. Seems very well made. Guide rid looks a little wimpy, so we I'll see.

The New Agent makes a great EDC. Mine, and everyone else I've known to have one or a Defender, found it as boringly reliable as a Glock no matter what you fed it.

They come in 9mm. Of course, if I did get one, I'd have my gunsmith friend cut dovetails in for night sights. But I like the size of the New Agent.

Mine us a 45. Wow, talk about a love/hate gun. I've been searching archives and can't believe how much some people hate this thing. If I can shoot this any better than my trench sight LCP, it's a keeper. Can't quite pocket carry, but with the holster I have and this light weight, it's going everywhere with me. If I can't hit a human torso inside of 7 yards, I'm in trouble. I'll post results after my weekend at the cabin.

Just use the last about 1" of the trench (muzzle end). It'll take you about a box of ammo to get it.

Can one of you measure the height of the gun? Top of frame to bottom of grip? Inches or millimeters is fine.

I had a Colt New Agent with the XS sights. Nice gun and all, and with some really great sights, but ended up selling it after I got my Kahr PM9.
