I know that some parts do interchange depending on generation. I've installed a Beretta barrel on a Taurus for a friend. That gun has a few thousand rounds through it since the install. I put Beretta top half on a Taurus once. It fit and dry fired just fine, but I never got around to shooting it. As time passed they grew apart with Taurus and Beretta making changes. If you cannot get Taurus parts I think it would be fairly simple to adapt some Beretta parts if you are somewhat savvy.
They are two different guns and use different safety systems. It is possible that the sears are the same, but I think it is unlikely. Since both parts are available, I see no reason to try any alterations that could affect safety.
