I've been drooling over this Buck Mark Varmint for a few weeks now at my favorite LGS pawnshop, even saw a few online that looked nice too. Anyway, I headed up there today with a handgun that just wasn't one I really cared to shoot, hoping they still had the Buck Mark, and hoping for a trade.

It all happened: trade deal struck, the Buck Mark is mine :)

The red dot is not really my favorite but it came with the gun, maybe with a fresh battery it will be fine. The gun itself is in decent condition, the previous owner is well know to the gun shop owner who reassured me this one has seen more time in the safe than at work.

Figured I'd share a picture with the good folks here at THR.

If you haven't owned one before I suspect you'll be nicely surprised.
I want some of those grips for mine!

What is that barrel, 10" or 12" long?

The buckmarks are nice soft shooting pistols with good triggers. But be wary of taking the grip panels off because they hold all the guts in and it's a major chore to get them back on with everything lined up right.

9.75" :)

I spent months checking my LGS for a Buckmark. No deal. They didn't have them and said they couldn't get them. This was three or four years ago. I finally found a nice new Ruger 22/45 at another shop and bought it. I'm not unhappy with it but since there is no .22 ammo around here what good does it do me? I've had an order in with Midway for eight months now. Hope you have better access to ammo than I do.

I like my buckmark a lot but you need to watch the screws holding the scope rail down and the screw holding the barrel tight. Mine came loose so I used some blue loc title.

Guys, I had this one to the range today, it is accurate beyond my wildest imagination :)

Only issue I see so far is failure to last round hold open, that may be the mag, not sure, I was having so much fun I didn't really care too much.

I shot standard velocity, mini-mags, hyper-velocity, oxidized old rounds in a bag, didn't make any difference, it hit the target at 25 yards using a Primary Arms red dot where I aimed it every time.

Now to make it mine with an optic suited to my eyes, this one could become my wholly grail .22lr gun. I have a good feeling about it.
