This happened to me. Just not 3,500. But i ended up with a m1 garand and ended up getting a orginal bayonet, sling, buttstock cleaning kit, us service manuel and some ammo

I'd throw in a little extra and get a transferable M-11 to add to the stamp collection.

I would get a nice hunting rig with a REALLY nice piece of glass to put on top. I always cheap out on scopes. Not super cheap but I have a hard time pulling the trigger on $1,000+ scope purchases.

A real Lee Speed Rifle is first choice. Them being about as plentiful as chicken teeth a backup choice would be some sort of old European rifle in 6.5x55. A nice stalking rifle or something.

Can't honestly think of anything I really want, have everything.

Would spend money on guided hunts on private land..

What a Awesome Wife! I'm liking the suggestion of the Sharps. A 50 BMG is kind of on my want list, but I really have no need for one. Everything for a 50 is so expensive that the cost of the rifle is just the beginning.

If The Wife has a good enough income to do this, I would be seriously trying to think of something to do for Her. That would be a tough act to follow!

I would get two Swarovski 3.5-18 BT scopes instead. Just me . I have rifles waiting to get adopted by a good scope. Or a couple of custom guns by ER Shaw. One in 358 Norma the other in 6.5-284.

However, I am also wondering where such a wife exists. Most of us have had to buy guns that look alike and buy guns safes to conceal the trafficking of our purchases LOL!

I guess over here, cuz my wife would give me $3500 to buy a gun without hesitation (if she had it) and I NEVER have to sneak anything into this house and NEVER would have got together with her, if I had to!! You are suppose to work those things out BEFORE you say "I do"!!

The other day we were in a LGS and she was trying VERY hard to get me to buy a 500 round box of .223's that were on sale. lol

She see's me filling the freezer with "meat" and looks at guns like they are an "investment", AND she knows that I don't pizz money away on everything that comes along, I look for good buys....just like she does when she buys things.
