Pic of new single stack Glock 9mm leaked (G43). Seriously this time

They'll definitely be making a lot of extra sales off of this when it's released. Don' think it'll be replacing my Shield 9mm tho!

6+1 is pretty standard in the world of single stack 9mm. The slide is still blocky but being narrower will probably print a bit less than the 26. I might have to see how it feels in my hand.

Does anyone know what generation Glock rounded the front corners of the slide on the G26?

It might give an indication as to when they'll do it to the G42 and 43.

I'm glad they finally came out with it but for me, its too late. I went M&P9c for a couple reasons and I'd just assume go with the Shield before a G43.

Even at that, I really wanted the Shield for a good amount of time but now I'm questioning if spending 4-500 bucks is worth the size and capacity difference.

It isn't generational, they did it on everything since the 26, except for a few that use already-existing slides (31, 32).

The 26-30 and 33-41 all have the beveled muzzle. I was surprised to see the 42 and now 43 without the bevel, but then again, it's already a thin slide and maybe the bevel left them too thin.

It's a Glock. For some that's awesomeness. For me it's a weird feeling gun.

Besides, I've got a single stack nine that suits me well.

Thanks for the post SpentCasing! I will certainly give it consideration if it does come to market. Still seems to be a little heavier than it should be, but that may be a case of Glock designing a rarely shot pocket pistol to have nearly the durability of a G17.

Likely a good move on Glock's part as it fills a niche in their offerings. I won't be buying one any time soon, but still it makes sense.

WOW! Everybody knocks a single stack .380 that holds 8+!, but Glock puts out a 6+1 and you'd think the automatic handgun was just invented. Weird.

I think what weird is that a lot of people here have clamored for it... even recently.

Yet, IMO, there has only been luke warm interest in this thread.

Unless you are a Glock guy, what advantage does the 43 have over the Ruger LC9S Pro at a much lower price point?

And is this single stack noticeably thinner than the 26? Not to mention the 26 can use mags from 19 and 17 for even more capacity with reloads.

If the 43 does well, might be able to scrounge some good deals on some 26's for people looking to downsize.

Hey, this might work out after all.

26 is too wide for me, not talking about printing or carrying, but the actual frame design hits me very oddly and rakes against my knuckle until it bleeds. Until 10 days ago that kept me being an overall displeased individual with the glock company. The 42 is thin enough that it eliminates that issue and actually feels pretty good. For folks like me who like the versatility of the glock platforms based on aftermarket parts, I will be on the g43 hoping for a 22tcm barrel from lone wolf. It's truthfully the first polymer gun I have ever been excited about.

Left handers are right ..,,.

As a left hander, I might switch out my S&W Shield no thumb safety 9x19mm but not for 12mo to 18mo.

At the risk of coming across as a hate I'm not all that interested in buying one. So far I haven't liked any Glocks; the G19 is the closest to a good one (for me) that I've tried. I loathed my G22 and sold it after a few hundred rounds. The one thing they seem to retain from decade to decade and generation to generation is that horrible, spongy trigger!:cuss:

I think it will be a big seller though. Glock is like Apple- no matter what they release there's about a million buyers standing in line with their wallet in hand. Good on 'em if that's what works for them. To me the Nano is a better version of what Glock should have made.

From my perspective there are just too many good single stacks out there for me to be interested:

Nano- Better trigger (unless Glock does a 180 and changes their entire mechanism), slimmer (a guess based on the photo), more streamlined, better sights.
PPS- Better trigger, better sights, better mag release.
LC9s Pro- Almost certainly a much better trigger, slimmer, better sights, easier takedown.
BP9CC- Better trigger, cheaper.
Shield- Slightly better trigger, better grip and ergos (again, unless the new Glock totally scraps the form and trade dress of all the other guns in the line).

Again, I expect it will sell a bazillion but it's likely too little too late for me. However, when the stores get them I'll dutifully check them out.

That's my whole issue. I got tired if waiting for Glock to come to the table so I bought a Ruger LC9. It has a stock 7 rd magazine and I've bought a couple Ruger 9rd mags for it. I've got better capacity and a gun I trust, why bother switching?

So many others have already invested in holsters, mags, etc fur their single stack nines, who wants to do it all over again? I wish them well though.

Lols at this thread. There have been a few zillion internet posts clamoring for a Glock single stack. And now that it's on the way, this thread is nothing but complaints.

I must be the odd duck. I never cared for a CC single stack 9mm Glock, one way or the other. There were lots of other options in that niche - if I wanted one that bad. I never did.

Now that I can get a Glock, I will probably pull the trigger.

Can't imagine why anyone would consider it with the PPS available.
I have shot the PPS, and I like it a lot. Honestly, my dislikes of the PPS are all minor nitpicking. The more I think about it, the more I have to face the realization that I'm a "Glock guy."

Well, there is a little more to it. I expect LWD and other Glock distributors to have every spare part, both factory and third party stuff, for dirt cheap in a matter of a few years, and to have continued parts and service support until at least the year 3000. And there's the little matter of being able to detail strip a Glock in about 30 seconds with a toothpick.

Glock is like Apple
Except Glock is priced right in the middle of the pack, and must cheaper than some of their competition... and they are certainly very durable and cheap to maintain. And unlike Apple, they don't come out with a new model every year... Hello PPQ XYZ, MP safety, MP no safety, FNP/X/S, Sigma/EV, etc. I like they make and support the same crap for decades, making spare parts readily available to any Joe Schmoe, rather than having to deal with a certified service agent or customer support. Trying to buy spare parts for some of my other modern firearms is a headache or even impossible. And trying to detail strip some of my modern firearms is nigh impossible. I have to admit, there are a few I have given up ever learning. And there are others I have succeeded, but I will never be able to do again without watching a video and spending two hours. I can find and buy the right parts and work on a Glock, blindfolded. No roll pins, no jigsaw puzzles, no jigs to hold springs, no special tools, and no swear words taking it apart or putting it back together.
