Pic of new single stack Glock 9mm leaked (G43). Seriously this time

I handled the 42 when it came out, and compared it to my Taurus 709 slim which is my EDC.

The Glock 42 was bigger, slightly, in ever dimension as well as heavier than my Taurus. The Taurus barely fits in some of my pockets, so its limited to jacket pockets or IWB carry.

The Glock 43 does seem slightly bigger based on that pic than the 42, which is going to make it that much bigger than my current carry pistol. All that and one less round in the mag.

I don't dislike Glock, I really do want a 17 or a 34, I'm just not much of a fan of their smaller guns.

This topic exploded.
I guess the Glock/Not a Glock guy thread meets the Single Stack vs Not Single Stack guy.

I would like to handle and shoot one. I have more trouble shooting the smaller pistols accurately. Summer carry is always a challenge for me since I have a smaller frame.

I know one thing. From a marketing standpoint, like them or hate them, Glock is the BEST. They are going to sell a Bizzillion of these.

I'm surprised. The dimensions of this gun should be closer to the G42 than the G26. And I agree with the sentiment that the difference between it and the G26 makes the 26 more desirable.

Me? I'll stick with my Kahr CM9 (which beats the G42, G26, and the G43 in every aspect).

Someone once said to follow your heart, but Glock's heart cut a fart on the G43.

You can bet with today's computer aided design, there are multiple singlestack 9mm Glock one-offs that are smaller, but did not perform properly.

Perhaps the smaller versions had FTF's, FTE's, and other problems which prohibited their function because of size?

I mean, with the spin of a scroll button, they can make the whole thing bigger or smaller.

No, I am sure Pearce will make a extension of the floor plate just as they do on the 26 (which I use.)

I highly prize the reliability of my 26 and I want it to have that reliability with ALL types of 9mm ammo.

And I also don't want it to be a watchfob size gun that works with only a few brands of ammo and is very hard to shoot one handed.

So it's size sounds just about right.

It's not in the future for me, my 26 is perfect and it can use the 10,12, 15 and 33 round mag. I and I am sure most others already have a single stack or 3, that is too close to make a difference.
My next purchase will be something I don't already have. Perhaps a RI 10mm or the Taurus Curve. Something either innovative or perhaps a tiny revolver like the View or the Gunsmoke, or an optic mounted on one of the exhisting small guns. Opening my safe and seeing a half dozen similar 9mm guns, to me, means I have bought out of boredom.

I really would like to see Glock make something new and different like a gas-delayed-blowback pistol like the Walther CCP.

The G26 is a great gun. But it's not one or the other. I think a lot of the folks who will buy a G43 already own a G26.

I already have a M&P Shield with no thumb safety, size is almost
exactly the same but Shield is taller and carries an extra round or 2.

About 1 oz weight difference.

Ill keep the Shield.
