This may not appeal to average shooters, or even someone who wants a shotgun in his bedroom closet. I doubt most will want one for duck hunting either. The guys who will want one are the competition crowd and, the "tactical crowd". The biggest advantage to this, beyond faster reloads and...
I second what RPRNY said. I have had several Marlins, 2 Uberti 73s and several Rossi 92s along with a couple Browning 92s and, of course a couple Winchester 92s and 94s all in pistol calibers. If you are shooting Cowboy action the 73 is the way to go for style points as well as functionality...
I have had three of these over the past few years, and still have one in 40 S&W. I gave the 9mm to my brother and he loves it. The third one, or actually the first one that I bought, was a real beater. Someone had neglected this thing to the point where they actually knocked the front sight...

I see no need to down size. I...
If you go for a rifle...
The Tikka is a good choice. Smoothest bolt action I've seen in a looong time. Other than that, keeping a the Kimber is not a bad idea either. I have several
and love them all.
It is easier to list those that I haven't shot
Gattling gun
Lemat revolver
anything in 7.7 Jap
anti-aircraft gun (Unless you consider surface to air missiles)
and I am sure there are others;) but not that many.
I didn't read all the posts but....
I am glad to see that so many take the same view as I. Buy all you can, it will never be cheaper. I won't tell you how many rounds and or components I have, suffice it to say that my wife, daughter and I are covered for the next four years and probably...
This is not an end of the world question. I am thinking that once the presidential elections get going full swing, meaning two possibly three candidates, ammo will dry up again, if it seems likely that the Dems will win. I would like to know how much ammo people think they would want to have in...
I would to get your favorite reloads for both these cartridges. I am currently using AA #9 in the 500 and IMR 4227 in the 460. I am loading both Hornady 350 grain and 500 grain bullets in the 500. I am loading 300 grain xtp mags in the 460. I just picked up some Rainier plated bullets rated...
I had one and can't seem to find it. It had some extremely hot reload data in it which I would like to look at again. I think mine was from 1958. I am specifically interested in the 44 mag data. If you have one from that time would you be so kind as to send the data to me?
I was like farmerboy once
long on opinion, short on experience. Then I bought a 995 that looked like it had been through hell and back, for $125. It shoots great and I have put a couple thousand rounds through it without cleaning. Just like a Timex. I Have bought a new 9mm, 40 and 45 since...
I am just starting to reload for the 460 as well
I am more interested in the other end of the spectrum. I want to focus on reloading the heavy bullets from 300 up to 400 grains. I purchased 100, 300 grain XTPs for starters and am lookin for heavier bullets. I thought Hornady made a 325 but I...
I know a guy...
His name is Jeff. He is 5' 6" and weighs about 165 pounds, tops. He routinely carries a an 8 3/8" S&W 29. I never knew until he pulled it out one day at a gun shop.
Clean up the trigger on a Hi-Point Carbine? These are fun little guns but the 4595 that I just got has the worst trigger ever. The others that I have are mushy, but fine for this type of gun.
I don't own one but...
I have handled several over the years and they have all felt wonderful in the hand. As for price, that doesn't sound bad for what is a semi custom rifle. You can probably go to their website and check pricing. I would say go for it, after all, $1300 isn't all that much...
My Pastor carries
but not all the time. From what I know of the others in the congregation, myself included, he doesn't have much to worry about while in church. There are at least a half dozen who carry while at church, and it isn't a very big church.
First things first
You Drive a corvette, you carry a $1200 Kimber, and the best you can do is stuff it in a $20 holster attached to your console. Get a custom red and black holster made and attach that to your console. That would look sweet. I always carry a Kimber 1911 on my belt...
I'll be renewing my permit when the time comes
Thank you very much. Since Lepage became Governor, Maine went from reciprocating with a handful of states, to 23 States. On June 5th he signed LD 868 into law which added 17 states to the number that we used to reciprocate with. This is reason...
