Question about Lemi-shine, Every post that i see Lemi shine mentioned only involves the use of ss media. Is this the only way Lemi-shine can be used? Can it be used with a water mix also? Just curious.

The liquid lemi shine is a rinse agent, it keeps the dishes from getting water spots. Not really helpful or needed with the tumbler, Lemi shine powder works well for me but as said above citric acid does work as well. I have hard water so its lemi shine for me.

Okay another NOOB question, went to Wally World today and saw Lemi-shine in a tub as a powder(crystal), a packet (dishwasher) and as a liquid as a rinse aid. Is it the Rinse aid that i need or the detergent in the tub??

Steve in Allentown, I am truly impressed by the results. Since I never heard of Lemi Shine, I googled it. Looks like in addition to the stainless steel tumbling media, Lemi Shine is another key ingredient to the shiny cases. What made you choose Lemi Shine? Can you suggest an alternate product?

Wet tumbling with Lemi-Shine will dull the brass if run for too long. Threw me off too when I accidently left it on for 2 hrs. The more Lemi-Shine in the mix the less you want to run it. I switched to Armorall Wash and Wax. You can run it for hours with no issues. Back off or eliminate...

Lemi shine! I had the same issue and cut back on lemi and fixed it.

I use Lemi-Shine with Dawn to tumble my brass so I rinse 2 or 3 times to be sure I get the Lemi-Shine off the brass.

I occasionally use the Armorall wash n wax with the powdered lemi shine, not only shines like a diamond but also leaves a very thin layer of wax to maintain that shine. About a tsp of lemi shine and a tbsp of wash n wax to a gallon of water works for me

If you are tumbling for hours, try cutting your Dawn down to a single squirt and cut the Lemi-Shine by about half. I use about a teaspoon of Lemi-Shine in a quart of water, but I only expose my brass to that concentration for 15 minutes.

Lemi shine can be used as a soak, with SS media, ultrasonic cleaner, I've even heard people using the granulated lemi shine in corn cob or walnut media dry tumbled as well.
