I have a couple of them. Used for a 550, Lee turret, RCBS RC, Lyman 450 and a CH trimmer. All slide in and out without issue. Hold very firm and the shelf is a nice touch for shell holders ect.
If you polish the contact area on the plates your items are bolted to you don't have to play with...
Sell them to fellow shooters, instead of the scrap pile. Some folks will pay over scrap price plus shipping. We need to stick together and help each other out anyway we can.
Get a good shell holder and hold the brass all the way in with one hand and pull handle. I've had my CH4D for a couple of years and it works fine if adjusted properly.
Best thing I can say is go shoot one and see. Very little recoil, very accurate. Ammo is not bad priced. Can change uppers to change calibers. Fun range gun.
I have not been reloading for years as some here have. I doubt this will be the only press you buy. Start with either one and before long you will need (want) another with different features, like turret or progressive. The RC or Classic cast will be fine to get you started and see if you enjoy...
If you like cheap tools and don't mind fooling with a press try the Loadmaster. If you have a taste for better tools go with a Hornady or Dillon. I had a Loadmaster and am a mechanic, it's like Snap-on vs dollar store tools, in my opinion.
