    Bullseye 10mm load help request

I can understand the affinity for Bullseye. It's the powder I first started with years ago and I remember trying to load all my pistol calibers with it. If it was in the load book then I tried it. 230gr 45ACP ball over 5gr Bullseye was all I knew at first. Then I discovered Unique. Then...

    Mech-Tech 1911 C.C.U.

I'd like one for my Glock 20. A 10mm ppc sounds fun. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk

    Primer storage idea

I don't think my shed out back gets up to 150 degrees in the summer. And it's all metal. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk

    Primer storage idea

The OP mentioned storage of primers under high temps. Can someone comment on that? Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk

    Depriming Military Brass (5.56x45mm)

I have the same setup for depriming every caliber I load for. I'd be careful about putting too big of wrenches on it. It probably wasn't meant for a 3ft breaker bar. Ok that's an exaggeration but seriously a pair a 6" wrenches should be enough leverage. Have you tried degreasing the die...

    223 shoulder bump

It finally makes sense now. The comparator produces an arbitrary number used for measuring the before and after firing delta. And I'll have to measure a real Go gauge with the comparator to find the offset value. Whew... Anyway I fired a few of my test loads yesterday and saw +.004...

    223 shoulder bump

Flight, the comparator is measuring 1.448" on my resized cases. Way under spec right? So I pull out two different brands of factory 223 and measure those. They read 1.447 - 1.449. I rezero'd the calipers and got the same reading again. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk

    223 shoulder bump

There is one thing that bugs me though. If sizing cases back to minimum SAAMI dimensions creates an unsafe condition (too much bump) then there should be a big neon warning message on the die box about that. Had I not have asked I could have gone on my merry way smashing every case back to...

    223 shoulder bump

Thanks for all the replies and sharing your knowledge. I achieved the .010 bump as an intermediate step in understanding this process but I'm not finished. The few cases I already sized can get fed through my bolt gun for plinking and then crushed. I originally wasn't getting any bump due to...

    223 shoulder bump

Good catch. I meant .010 ten thousandths. And this should be the minimum size according to spec, right? I'll measure with a Wilson gauge to confirm. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk

    223 shoulder bump

I'm making progress now. After adjusting the sizing die for a mild cam over I'm seeing a fairly consistent -.010 shoulder bump. I'm used to years of reloading straight wall pistol cases so shoulder bump was never a concern. I have a couple 223 gas guns that I'm loading for and also a bolt...

    223 shoulder bump

I have a new T-7 press and never thought about deflection. That very well could be why I'm not seeing any bump. I have to run home and try that tonite. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk

    223 shoulder bump

Perhaps that explains some of my confusion. The plus sign in the description +.002, +.004, +.006 looked like increasing to me. I also have the Hornady headspace comparator gauge. I've measured once fired cases before and after FL sizing and am only seeing -.001 and some with no change at...

    223 shoulder bump

I'm starting to reload 223 need some clarification on shoulder bump. I'm using a Redding full length sizing die run all the way down to the shell holder. I see that custom height shell holders are available that will increase shoulder bump +2, +4, +6 thousandths. The question is whether...

Why is Beretta CX4 so darn expensive compared to an AR?

+1 for the sharp impulse and cheek slap. I was surprised my 40 would do that in a rifle. I wasn't expecting that but am used to it now. I'm curious how the CZ Scorpion EVO would perform. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk

Point of Aim vs Bullet Trajectory

I sighted in my new deer hunting rig this morning. Weatherby .308 vanguard, Trijicon Accupoint 3x9, Talley medium rings, Hornady Whitetail 150gr interlocks. I was limited to 60 yard shots but was grouping nicely 1" above point of aim. I don't have any ballistics software and don't know how...

Why is Beretta CX4 so darn expensive compared to an AR?

The factory trigger was too spongy so I replaced it with a Sierra Papa. Works great now and makes the .40S&W come alive with the 16" barrel. Wish Beretta made the CX4 in 10mm
