I have been using Bullseye for just about every pistol caliber I reload. Just got a Glock 20 and, big surprise, no load data on the Alliant web site?!

I have 200 grain Zero bullet FMJ. What would be an average load and what would be at the higher end (about 1100-1200 fps)?

Lyman 49th list 200gr JHP using Bullseye as follows....

OAL1.250"

Start load-4.8 gr at 910 fps
Max load 5.7 gr @ 1059 fps

To get in the 1100's or near your looking at a different powder from my data.

Power pistol comes in just under 1100 fps @ 1092 fps

Over 1100 there are loads with 800x, HS-6, AA#7 and Blue Dot.

If you're looking for 1,100+ Bullseye is too fast (works great for plinking loads).

I'd look at #9.

I use AA#9 for 200 gr hardcast and 800X for 200gr XTP's, both up around 1250 fps.
Lee shows data for Bullseye with a 200gr jacketed bullet, 5.0-5.3gr, 950fps. Bullseye is just too fast to push a 200gr to 1100. It'll do a 180, but to do that speed in 200gr you need AA#9, 800X, Blue Dot, HS6, or maybe AA#7.. Hodgdon says longshot will do it, as well as CFE Pistol. I did not get anywhere near advertised velocity with CFE Pistol in 10mm, worked better in 9mm and 380.

When the powder manufacturer doesn't supply data for a powder/cartridge combination there is usually a very good reason.

There are fast and slow powders on the market for a reason. You can't push a heavy bullet to the speeds you are looking for without hitting the pressure limit first. You will need to use a slower powder like AA#7.

Out of all the available powders, Bullseye for the 10mm, would not be one of my choices. As mentioned, it is just to fast a powder

Don't know what other calibers you load for but it it is probably not ideal for some of those either,

Bear in mind that most 10mm load data assumes that the shooter is looking for 10mm-type performance. Fast powders absolutely will work in 10mm, they just won't give you 10mm-type speeds/power. But if you're looking for plinking/target/practice rounds, or just a way to save some wear and tear on your 10mm gun, faster powders for reduced power rounds are totally viable.

I can understand the affinity for Bullseye. It's the powder I first started with years ago and I remember trying to load all my pistol calibers with it. If it was in the load book then I tried it. 230gr 45ACP ball over 5gr Bullseye was all I knew at first. Then I discovered Unique. Then came along PowerPistol and Longshot.

Absolutely concur.

I've loaded e3, Clays, 700X, Titegroup, D032... All work quite well in the 10mm.

As already said, these aren't powders that should be pushed, or expected to make full power.
