DS Grade, heavy use, tight lockup, 2 1/2" chamber. The folded star crimp of a 2 3/4 paper shell when fired in this shorter chamber wll have partially opened into 2 1/2' chamber.
Is it a big no-no to use2 3/4' field grade shotshells in a 2 1/2' chamber?
I have fired a few vintage 2 3/4...
I'v been hauling a Mag Light around off and on for about 20 years.
In addition to being a light source, they were somewhat reassuring. Battery, bulb, switch life was short 'tho.
I understand that there are now upgrades that'd increase the run time of these dinasours. Any suggestions...
I'm beginning to have another look at revolvers.
Carpal Tunnel and arthritis is beginning to make working the slide more of a chore these days.
If I should need to take the trip back to the K Frames, does anyone have any first hand experience with IWB revolver carry?
Thanks,

My computer crashed and burned a while back and I had to re-join/re-build
contacts. The SIG Forum was one of those that I wasn't able to regain access.
Now, when I try to join again, the join bot program will not recognize any '...@gmail', '...@hotmail', or '...@yahoo' address.
Does...
I read about AR builds and various parts exchanges from the original platform to new, improved, ultimate up-grades.
Is the Colt HBAR now obsolete?..if so, how?...it seems to work reliably and poke clanish itty-bitty 1/4" holes downrange.
Other than weight, what needs changing?

Did Ruger ever market such a critter in Super Blackhawk form?
I have seen .44 Mag SBH altered to .45 Colt by Mr. Bowen, but no factory short(er)barrel 4 5/8" in 45Colt.
I have led a sheltered life in things Ruger.
Thanks,

I understand that it happens and is a function of the design.
This one goes far enough back that when the hammer eventually falls fwd the effort required seems to be more like that of a poor striker fired linkage than any Single Action.
I can't fix it. The CZ Forums that I visited...
Since I haven't been able to lay eyes on a bayonet for the Garand that hasn't been abused, does any THR Forum member have one of these http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=685606 that is available?
It will reside happily, I hope, next to a Garand and some web gear.
If I can also...
My tumbler has seen lots of use over the years and it is beginning to 'spin its wheels' a lot.
What I need is some kind of tacky, sticky coating that can give some purchase to the roller and/or drum.
Suggestions appreciated.
Thanks,

Ruger rookie asking...Ruger seems to have about as many items as S&W. For a green rookie considering a companion Single Action sidearm capable of using the same ammunition as a lever action shoulder arm, which models would fit into that narrrow niche?
OOps, caliber would be 45Colt.

Time marches on. I can see pretty good, but the front sight is getting more elusive.
I'm looking for obversations from Commander size carriers regarding width of the grip handles, acess (intention and accidental) to the switch, getting POA to = POI (& maintaining that setting), and, well you...
Title just abouit says it all. How are bullets pulled with no apparent damage to brass or bullet?
Brass dealers have been known to sell 'pulled' brass as well as 'pulled' bullets.
I am aware of the kinetic 'pullers' that work like a hammer. Somehow, that just seams so wrong.
Thanks...
I used to load for it long ago.
I just re-discovred my dies and about a dozen boxes of factory brass. I think most of it has been reloaded a few times. Don't know how many. Not enough that they seemed to be needful of trimming 'tho.
If anyone is interested in taking a look, with...
Mr Jones was in declining health two years ago. I bought a 200 grain Saeco mould shortly before his last few published posts.
Is anyone out there still knowledgable about the machines?...availability of different/adjustable powder charge bars?
Its too good a piece of equipment to just...
Among other things, my memory could stand some improvement.
I have read, I think here on this forum, where someone posted a procedure whereby the left grip panel was modified a bit by using acuraglass.
The 'glass', should the plunger tube get wiggily, would keep the plunger tube more or...
