mainmech48,
Don't know what size you are looking for but Bens Backwoods has Opinel 6,7,8and 9 in stock. Looks like #10 and 12 are out of stock.
I order my Opinels and Moras through Bens Backwoods all the time, it's a great source with quick delivery...
While not a tactical light, I've been carrying a Rayovac LED for quite some time now...http://www.homedepot.com/buy/rayovac-industrial-grade-2-aa-100-lumen-flashlight-249691.html.
It has become my "go-to" flashlight. It doesn't fit neatly into a pocket and disappear, doesn't have a pocket...
My new Bear & Son Barlow arrived today. I have been awaiting it's arrival since I ordered it Sunday.
I've had a hankerin' for both a Bear & Son knife to check out their quality and another hankerin' for a barlow pattern knife to see how I like the pattern.
I decided to combine the two...
Amazing how fast one can change his mine. After looking at all the other good sodbuster patterns, I figured I'd try out something new.
Went ahead and ordered a Bear & Son carbon steel barlow. Been itching to try out both Bear's quality and the barlow pattern, so two birds...one stone. Look...
I chose the Marlin 60 because I found one in my price range and liked the looks of it.
Can't tell you how much love I've got for that little rifle.
Marlin 60 all the way.

Always enjoy your knife related posts, lots of good back to basics discussion in them. You are right, it is not rocket science!
Years ago one of your sharpening posts turned me onto freehand sharpening and got me away from relying on machines and gizmos. I purchased a Case Sodbuster Jr with...

Good thing these are cheap. I've had my first Mora for several years now...and can't sing it's praises loud enough.
My second Mora came in today, just a plain jane #1. Only difference is that the one that came today has a red handle, nice change.
Such a wonderful knife. At this...
Little behind here, too. Two customs waiting for heat treat, one Case refurb awaiting assembly.
About to have to repair/repaint the house starting next weekend, but when that's done the customs will get completed then I get to order my Grizz and build my mini-forge.

These guys have already got it covered well. Just in case you want to see some tutorials, look at http://www.northcoastknives.com/northcoast_knives_tutorials_hiddentang1.htm
...just ignore the guard, soldering, and fancy do-dads if you are not putting them on your knife.
Be sure to update...
You talking about the spey blade on the fine trapper you just ordered?
On my trapper I don't use the spey blade very much. I use the clip all the time and keep the spey finely sharp, just in case I need a very keen edge for something.
How are you liking the knife?

My current carry is a 2 x AA Coleman LED light. I can't find it on their website, but it is a WalMart special.
At work I always have a 2 x AA MiniMag, sure is handy. Would like to upgrade that to an LED model.
Bedside is a 2 x D cell LED MagLite. That is one fine flashlight for...
